"Miss Dorothy Neyhart. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adnah Neyhart and the winner in the first ladies' race at the Brookline meet."

Neyhart began making a name for herself during the mid-1920s when she began riding and competing in various races. In 1925, she competed with “Masterpiece” and won the saddle class, ladies’ saddle class (side saddle), and the pack hacks class at the Millwood Hunt Club Horse Show on June 7, 1925. She also took part in the Groton Hunt Show, riding the horse “Gym.” In 1926, she rode “Volcano” at the Southboro Show. In 1928, Dorothy won the ladies’ race on “Dixon” because of her skills as a jockey.
